The Obama administration requested that the announcement of layoffs at solar panel manufacturer Solyndra be delayed from late October to specifically November 3, 2010. In an e-mail to primary investor Argonaut Equity comes this statement published in the Washington Post:
The Energy Department “continues to be cooperative” and committed to a November drawdown on the loan, the Solyndra adviser wrote. “They did push very hard for us to hold our announcement of the consolidation to employees and vendors to Nov. 3rd — oddly they didn’t give a reason for that date.”
Why would a company be asked to postpone necessary layoffs from Thursday October 28 to a Wednesday on the third of November? Perhaps because there was an election scheduled on November 2. The Obama administration can’t be that opaquely sinister. Can it?
