The Washington Post dusts off its Watergate Pulitzer Prizes to report on Solyndra

The Washington Post is reporting that, contrary to White House denials, Solyndra executives lobbied for funds from administration officials. The story concentrated more on recent involvement by George Kaiser who was trying to get help from the White House for government purchases of Solyndra solar panels and approval of a second loan. The story reports of e-mail exchanges between Solyndra executives about White House meetings.

Reports in the Washington Times and the Washington Examiner go further in detailing how excited the Obama White House was at helping Solyndra get the Department of Energy loan.

Meanwhile, the Obama team is seeking to quash subpoenas from the House of Representatives regarding Solyndra documents. Gee. What do they have to hide?
