Home Depot Co-Founder Bernie Marcus on how to create jobs

Bernie Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot, was on “Your World with Neil Cavuto” today. Bernie says it’s not the uncertainty that is hurting the economy, it is the certainty that taxes are going to go up, and the certainty of new regulations that will strangle business. He declares that if Home Depot were starting today as the first big-box hardware store, it could not expand beyond about 15 stores because of stifling regulations.  Please click on the link below to see what Bernie thinks needs to be done to create jobs in America:

One Response to Home Depot Co-Founder Bernie Marcus on how to create jobs

  1. Jody says:

We had a negative experience with Home Depot yesterday. We were ready to sign for a $4,000 flooring job, when someone added another $174 to the estimate, without asking us. We had a few changes to make, and the sales person was trying to contact a centralized pricing person. We had to leave and said we would be back after 3 p.m. When we got back to the store. she was not there. We were told that she had to clock out after her lunch, because there was not enough business in the store. A rainy day. Now we will be out of town for a week, and further delays. We might not go with Home Depot after all.
