This is the headline in Sunday’s Los Angeles Times. The title was scrubbed in the online version to California schools scrambling to add lessons on LGBT Americans.
My question is not “How?” but “Why?”. Issues of sexuality should not be taught to children in grade school. I remember my childhood. I may have been interested in the physical and emotional differences between boys and girls, but sexual desire had nothing to do with it. Discussion of sexual orientation should be handled within the family, not mandated by our government.
