Is it Right to Administer Hormones to Delay Puberty?

An 11-year-old boy is being given anti-hormone therapy to delay onset of puberty. The reason for this so that he can have more time to decide if he wants to change his gender.

While the issue of gender identification is serious and complicated, I feel that using gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) inhibitors to prevent maturity in an adolescent is criminal. The effects of this will last a lifetime. This is experimentation on child that may end up causing severe psychological and physical problems.
